Nigel appears as a young man in his mid-30's.  He is 5'9", a medium to heavy build with green eyes and brown hair balding from the back.  He wears a thin beard, and glasses that grip tighly to the end of his nose.  He is often dressed in professorial attire, nice jeans or dress pants, a dress shirt, a sweater or vest in the winter, and always with a sportcoat overtop.

Nigel speaks with a wealthy "waspy" British-Canadian accent, denoting a priviledged upper-class upbringing in the early part of the 20th century.  He is thoughtful and reflective yet talkative, and can be quite pedantic at times.  If engaged in debate, which he often is, he may be quick to anger or emotion.  He is ingratiating and polite, and speaks with an enchanting and eloquent voice. Both kindred and kine generally find him quite charming and even alluring.

In Elysium, Nigel can be found exchanging pleasantries, debating politics and philosophy, discussing some bit of history, art or lore, or busily taking notes.
